Oil closed Friday back near $67.33 and that close matters because it puts price right back at the top of the recent range. It’s a strong finish, but the bigger point is what comes next. The open tonight is set up for a volatility spike.
With the Israel-Iran war risk escalating, the market is now pricing in a higher probability of supply disruption, which is why headlines are calling for oil to jump when trading resumes. From a levels standpoint, $67.5 is the key area. Hold above it and price can extend quickly. Fail to hold it and we can snap back toward $65.5.
